Aster House - A Victorian Town House (circa 1850) in South Kensington is an entirely "NO-SMOKING" bed and breakfast. There are 10 standard and 3 superior en-suite guestrooms decorated in English country style. Room amenities include Direct Dial Telephone, Phone Point for Laptop Computers, Remote-controlled Colour TV (programmes include BBC1, BBC2, ITV1, C4, C5, Euro-Sport and CNN International), Room Safe, Hair Dryer, Tea & Coffee Making Facilities, Power Shower and Fully Independent Air-conditioning.

We were awarded a prestigious rating of FIVE DIAMOND and a "Silver Award" in January 2001 by the English Tourism Council ("ETC") under their Quality Assurance Scheme. The Award was reaffirmed in June 2002, October 2003 and February 2005 following the annual inspection by ETC inspector.

Aster House was named "Bed and Breakfast of the Year" 2004, 2002 and 2001 by London Tourist Board. In 2002, it was the first time in the competition history that an establishment was awarded this prestigious title two years consecutively. As a direct result, the competition rules were changed - the winner is automatically barred from the following year competition. Hence we were denied the possibility of wining the title for three years running! 

We are within easy walking distance to Kensington Palace - late Princess Diana's London home, Kensington Gardens, Hyde Park, Albert Hall. Albert Memorial, the Science Museum, Natural History Museum, Victoria & Albert Museum, Brompton Cross, Harrods and Knightsbridge. Old Brompton Road and Fulham Road are a stone-throw away where a wide and varied selection of cafes, restaurants, trendy/traditional pubs and a 24-hour convenience store can be found.

South Kensington Underground Station is less than 3 minutes walk away and the Piccadilly Line from the station is directly connected to Heathrow airport. The Station is also served by the District and the Circle Line. Majority of London's famous sights can be reached with ease within 20 minutes via the tube from the station.

Our Mission Statement

We aim to be one the best Bed & Breakfast establishments in the United Kingdom.

We shall start the day with a "Buffet AsterHouse Breakfast" that guests will rate it as one of the high points of their day. To end the day, guests can be assured of a clean room with comfy bed and cosy duvet. Formality is kept to a minimum, but the management is always to hand to provide friendly service or helpful advice.
