Michelin Guide - London 2007

“Sadly, butrealistically, few of us will ever be able to afford to buy a huge Victoriahouse,
spread over four floor, in the Elysian Fields known as South Kensington. Sostaying in a Bed and Breakfast
in a delightful and typically Kensington street, with restaurants, shops and attractionsall within walking distances,
is a great opportunity to live the dream.

Like all B&B’s you get the distinct feeling you are staying insomeone’s house, particularly when you have
to ring the door-bell to be let in. But it’s not just the location whereAster House scores heavily; the house is
immaculately kept, offers sizeable rooms and comes with rates that are a littlemore down to earth than many.

Three of the thirteen rooms are classified as“superior”, including the particular popular Garden Room which,
as the name suggests, lead onto a small garden. Breakfast is served in a verycharming conservatory on the first floor which
doubles up as a bright and comfortable sitting room, overlooking Sumner Place andyour fellow Kensington residents below.”
